Rafael Longoria, es Arquitecto, ACSA distinguished Professor y codirector del programa de Graduate Studies en University of Houston.
He is a registered architect in Texas whose architecture and urban design work has been published internationally, and is a numerary member of Mexico’s Academia Nacional de Arquitectura. He is a founding editor of AULA: Architecture and Urbanism in Las Américas, and has served on the editorial boards of The Journal of Architectural Education, Cite, Center, (In)forma, and the Rice University Press. Longoria has also served on the board of directors of the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance, the Rice Design Alliance, the Cultural Arts Council of Houston, the Park People, the Memorial Park Conservancy, and from 2004 to 2005 was president of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. He holds degrees from the Rice University School of Architecture and the Graduate School of Business of The University of Texas at Austin. The Green Braid: Towards an Architecture of Ecology, Economy, and Equity, a collection of sustainability essays and projects he co-edited with Kim Tanzer, was published by Routledge in 2007.
