Hurtubia, Ricardo

Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a dual appointment to the School of Architecture and the Department of Transport Engineering and Logistics. He is also a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CEDEUS, PUC) and the Complex Engineering Systems Institute (ISCI) at Universidad de Chile He completed his PhD at EPFL (Mathematics) in 2012 under the supervision of Professor Michel Bierlaire, he got his Master’s degree in transport engineering and his professional degree of Industrial Engineer from Universidad de Chile in Santiago.

His research is focused on location choice models, integrated transport and land use models, accessibility indicators as tools for project and policy evaluation and the use of discrete choice models to analyze and improve the design of public spaces and infrastructure through the understanding of user behavior.
